For residential summer school programme University of Madras would be hosting UK students

Many students from foreign countries study in the University of Madras these days as the quality of education is high. It is now said that the University of Madras would be hosting set of students from United Kingdom or UK for a residential summer programme that would be for two to three weeks.
It is now said that students from UK would be studying the musical traditions of Tanjore or about the traditional medicinal plants in Chennai.
This RSSP or residential summer school programme is very important in the student career. In this programme students are given travel grant by the ACU or Association of Commonwealth Universities so that these students could take part in the programmes belonging to the member institutions.
It is now revealed that departments such as botany, biochemistry, anthropology, women studies, management studies and English literature have submitted proposals regarding organizing workshops plus special classes for the students.
According to a professor it is now brought out that the students for this summer programmes would be put in the university hostels for international students. The professor also hinted that local study based trips as well as field trips would be present in this programme.
This programme would be hosted by ICOM or International Centre for university of Madras. The professor further added that this would be the first time the University of Chennai would taking part in this type of programme and it has been done with an objective of attracting more students from foreign nations to study in this university.
It must be noted that the department level have been attracting many students from abroad nations but this would be the first time entire university would be doing this. One important point to note is for the special lectures, university would also be bringing experts from every field. There would also be some cultural programmes also.
