Chennai EMU Train Services Partially Cancelled on May 23 Due to Maintenance Work

Southern Railway has announced the partial cancellation of 8 EMU train services in Chennai on Saturday, May 23, due to maintenance and technical works between Egmore and Villupuram sections.

According to the Chennai Railway Division, maintenance work will be carried out at the Kattangulathur yard from 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM, affecting suburban train operations on the Chennai Beach–Chengalpattu route.

As a result, EMU trains departing from Chennai Beach at 11:40 AM, 12:28 PM, 12:40 PM, and 1:56 PM towards Chengalpattu will operate only up to Guduvancheri railway station.

Similarly, trains departing from Chengalpattu towards Chennai Beach at 12:00 PM, 1:10 PM, 1:45 PM, and 2:20 PM will also face partial cancellations and service changes.

Railway officials have advised passengers to plan their travel accordingly and check updated train schedules before commuting.
