Chennai Metro Free Travel for CSK vs LSG IPL Match Fans at Chepauk
Cricket fans attending the IPL 2026 match between Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants at Chepauk Stadium can enjoy free travel on Chennai Metro Rail on Sunday using their match tickets.
According to Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), IPL match tickets will act as free Metro travel passes for a round-trip journey between operational Metro stations and Government Estate Metro station near Chepauk Stadium. Fans can scan both digital and physical match tickets at the AFC gates for entry and exit.
Each ticket is valid for one free round trip with two entries and two exits. Chennai Metro services will operate as per the regular Sunday timetable on the day of the IPL match to ensure smooth travel for cricket fans.
The special Chennai Metro free travel offer for CSK vs LSG match spectators is expected to reduce traffic congestion around Chepauk and encourage the use of public transport during the IPL season.
CMRL has also reported a strong rise in passenger numbers, with Chennai Metro recording 90.18 lakh passengers in April, highlighting the growing popularity of Metro Rail services in Chennai.
