Sensational!! Dual degree course in cyber security from VIT and Deakins University!!
How about completing a dual degree course in cyber-security from both Vellore Institute of Technology or VIT and Australia`s Deakin University and then getting places in a renowned organisation?
That is getting a B. Tech in computer science and engineering (cyber security) and Bachelor`s degree in cyber security (Honours) from Deakin University of Australia at the same time. Sounds incredible right!!
Information gathered is that the students joining this dual degree course would begin their studies at VIT in Chennai. They would gain strong foundations in computer science network security and data production and later go to Australia based Deakin University to complete advanced coursework and research in cyber-security systems, governance and digital forensics.
It was later explained by Mr. G.V. Selvam vice-president of Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai that VIT and Deakin University have strong collaboration on several activities like faculty, student exchange programmes and joint doctoral programmes etc. He added that it would be another milestone to join hands to offer dual degree in cyber-security at the undergraduate level. Truth is that this dual degree programme would enable the students to get 2 degrees in the same discipline plus an edge to start their careers.
According to Mr. Bas Baskaran, associate dean (international and partnerships) of Deakin University it was clear that this dual degree would build globally accessible education pathways that would empower the students with expertise and perspective to lead in the technology driven world.
