PM announces spruced up employment exchanges

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that the government will set up Nation Career Service (NCS) centres across the country. He has also launched the National Career Counselling Portal that will help modernise all government run employment agencies.
This Portal will be under the NCS project. It will act as a one step platform for job seekers and job providers can interact. Registration for the same can be done online. The exchanges will be called National Career Counselling Centres and will have helpline numbers that will provide assistance.
In the first phase, the government will transform one hundred of the 982 employment exchanges in the country. The government has allocated Rs. 190 crore for the project.
