Southern Railway Announces Changes in Express Train Services Due to Arakkonam Maintenance Work

Southern Railway has announced temporary changes to the operation of several Express trains due to maintenance work being carried out at the Arakkonam railway workshop. Passengers travelling on affected routes are advised to check the revised schedules and plan their journeys accordingly.

As part of the temporary arrangements, the Kacheguda–Chengalpattu Express (Train No. 17652) and Kacheguda - Puducherry Express (Train No. 17653) will make an additional temporary halt at Tiruvallur railway station until June 25, 2026.

In addition, the Tirupati–Puducherry Express (Train No. 16111) and Puducherry - Tirupati Express (Train No. 16112) will be diverted via Tiruttani, Arakkonam North Cabin, Melpakkam, and Thirumalpur until June 26, 2026. These trains will not operate through Arakkonam railway station during the maintenance period.

Southern Railway has urged passengers to take note of these temporary changes and make necessary travel arrangements in advance to avoid inconvenience.
