Egg Procurement Price Rises Again in Namakkal

The egg procurement price in Namakkal has increased once again, marking a steady rise in recent days.
In the latest revision, the price has been increased by 25 paise, taking it from ₹4.55 to ₹4.80 per egg. Notably, the price has seen a total increase of 75 paise over the past five days.
Namakkal, a major poultry hub, has over 1,100 poultry farms, housing nearly 4 crore layer chickens. The region produces approximately 3 crore eggs per day, making it a key contributor to egg supply.
The price hike decision was taken during a meeting of the National Egg Coordination Committee (NECC) held recently in the region.
