Chennai MRTS Update: Additional Trains Between Velachery and Parangimalai
Southern Railway is set to introduce additional train services between Velachery and Parangimalai (St. Thomas Mount) in Chennai following a steady increase in passenger traffic on the MRTS corridor.
After the recent extension of the Velachery–Parangimalai line, the route has witnessed a significant rise in daily commuters, especially office-goers and students. The improved connectivity across key areas in South Chennai has made this corridor an important part of the city’s public transport network.
