Gold Prices Slip in Evening After Morning Rise in Chennai
Gold prices in Chennai saw a sharp turnaround on Thursday, falling in the evening after gaining earlier in the day, reflecting ongoing volatility in the market.
In the morning session, 22-carat gold was priced at ₹13,670 per gram. However, by evening, the rate dropped by ₹320, bringing it down to ₹13,350 per gram.
A similar trend was seen in 18-carat gold. After opening at ₹11,410 per gram, the price declined by ₹275 and is now trading at ₹11,135.
This kind of fluctuation within a single day highlights the uncertainty currently prevailing in the gold market, leaving both traders and buyers cautious.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained steady, holding firm at ₹260 per gram without any change.
Market experts say that these sudden ups and downs are largely driven by global market movements and shifting investor sentiment. They suggest that buyers keep a close watch on price trends before making any purchase decisions.
