The order of the Central government to charge penalty failing to renew license quashed

The Madras high court has quashed the central government order to charge a penalty in case e of failure to renew the license on time.
The central government has enacted an amendment to the Motor Vehicle Ownership Act that penalty will be charged in case of failure to renew the license within the specified time.
This was strongly objected and protested by the driving schools and lorry owners association who filed a case. The Madras high court enquired about this case and gave the above verdict quashing the central government order.
