The Tambaram-Sengottai Express train will be operated three times a week starting from Thursday (Yesterday, 1st June).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the weekly Express Train Service between Tambaram and Sengottai on the 8th of April. This Tambaram-Sengottai express train has been operating every week since the 16th of April.
It is worth noting that this is the first train to be operated on the Thiruvarur-Karaikkudi track. In this regard, the train is now being operated three times a week starting from 1st June (Thursday, yesterday)!
The train will operate from Tambaram to Sengottai on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and from Sengottai to Tambaram on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The train departs at 9:00 PM from Tambaram and travels via Villupuram, Thiruppadhirippuliyur, Mayiladuthurai, Thiruvarur, Thiruthuraippoondi, Muthuppettai, Pattukkottai, Aranthangi, Karaikkudi, Aruppukkottai, Virudhunagar, Thirunelveli, Cheranmaadevi, Ambasamudram, Pavurchathiram, and Thenkasi, reaching Sengottai at 10:50 AM the following day.
On the return trip, the train departs from Sengottai at 4:15 PM and arrives at Tambaram the next morning at 6:05 AM.
