On Thursday, consecration of Agneeswara Swamy Temple in Thirupugalur in Nagapattinam district took place and it grabbed the attention of many.
The minister for HR & CE Mr. P.K. Sekarbabu has mentioned that by the end of 2025 consecration of 500 more temples in TN would be carried out.
It is worth mentioning here that ever since the new TN government took charge the bells` sound, lights, chant of prayers etc have been heard everywhere.
The kumbhabhishekam of Agneeswara Swamy Temple is being organised by the Hindu Religious and Endowments department with the cooperation of people from various walks of life plus long standing legal battle, donations and cooperation of devotees etc.
The minister Mr. Sekarbabu spoke about how he was very happy to take part in the 3000th kumbhabhishekam ceremony held after the DMK govt took charge.
Today, 6th June, consecration of 24 temples would be held and on 28th June consecration of 74 temples would be held. The 3500th consecration would take place by the end of 2025.
An amount of Rs 18 cr has been allotted to construct Avvaiyar Mandapam in Thulasiyapattinam and the work has been going on now. It must be taken into account that this dravida model rule has been involved in ceremonies of Avvaiyar, Thiruvalluvar, Sekkizhaar and the Sidhargal who have attained jeeva Samadhi.
Finally, the minister Mr. PK. Sekarbabu spoke about how the devotees have been appreciating the efforts taken by the TN govt and the chief minister of TN etc for the various important activities that are carried out in the temples across Tamil Nadu.
