Prospects of formation of a new low-pressure zone over North Bay of Bengal

The officials of the Chennai Meteorological Centre informed that there are prospects of a new low-pressure zone being formed over the North Bay of Bengal in the next 2 days. However, there are no prospects of any rain in Tamil Nadu due to this. This depression zone is likely to drift towards Odisha or West Bengal regions.
At the same time, due to the phenomenon of thermal convection, there are prospects of rain with thunder in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The Chennai Metro City will remain generally cloudy. There are prospects of mild rain in a few places.
There are prospects strong winds blowing at speeds of 45 kmph in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, because of this, the sea may be stormy and turbulent.
