Chennai to Receive Intermittent Showers

Rainfall is likely to continue for the next 24 hours in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry, according to Ramanan of Meteorological department.
Excerpts from his statement:
The low pressure region on the Bay of Bengal between Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka has lost strength and developed into a low pressure zone along the Kanya kumari Sea. This will bring rain showers to Tamil Nadu and Pondichery. In the next 24 hours, all the coastal districts are prone to heavy showers. There will be heavy showers in southern districts as well.
Cloudy weather will prevail here in Chennai and a few regions may receive sporadic rainfall. Fishermen are requested not to go for fishing.
Rain showers will continue till 8th of this month in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. From 9th of this month, there will be no rainfall alert and from 11th of December, rainfall will eventually reduce.
