Free Chennai Metro Travel for Nandanam Music Concert on March 7 - QR Ticket Facility Announced
Chennai Metro Rail Limited has announced a free travel facility for passengers attending the music concert scheduled on Saturday (March 7) near Nandanam Metro Station. The event will take place at the YMCA College Ground, Nandanam.
According to the official announcement, Chennai Metro has partnered with the event sponsor to provide complimentary metro travel for concert attendees. Visitors can use the QR code-enabled entry ticket provided by the event organizers to travel on the metro.
The QR ticket will allow one round-trip journey with two entries and exits, enabling passengers to travel from any Chennai Metro station to Nandanam Metro Station and return on the same day.
To help people return home safely after the event, Chennai Metro services from Nandanam station have been extended. The last metro train from Nandanam towards Wimco Depot and Airport will depart at 12:00 midnight.
Passengers using the two metro corridors will have to change trains at Chennai Central Metro Station. Travelers are advised to reach the station at least 10 minutes before the last train departure.
This initiative is expected to make travel easier for thousands of music fans attending the event while also encouraging the use of public transport.
