Tamil Nadu Part-Time B.E. Admissions 2026: Applications Open Until July 12 for Working Professionals

The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) has announced that applications for the three-year Part-Time Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) programmes for working professionals will be accepted until July 12, 2026.

The admission process is being conducted for six Government Engineering Colleges located in Coimbatore, Salem, Tirunelveli, Bargur, Vellore, and Karaikudi, along with two Government-aided engineering colleges—Government College of Technology (Coimbatore) and Thiagarajar College of Engineering (Madurai).

Candidates who are currently employed and possess at least one year of work experience are eligible to apply. Applicants must submit valid employment and work experience certificates as part of the admission process.

The part-time B.E. programmes are offered in several engineering disciplines, including Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE).

A total of 1,400 seats are available across the eight participating colleges. From the 2026–2027 academic year, the part-time engineering programmes have been revised to a three-year duration.
