Tamil Nadu to Hold Monthly Grievance Redressal Camps for Government School Teachers and Staff

The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has directed district and block-level educational authorities to conduct special grievance redressal camps for teachers and non-teaching staff working in government schools across the state.

The initiative aims to provide a dedicated platform for employees to directly raise service-related and administrative grievances before education department officials. The camps are expected to help resolve pending issues more efficiently and improve communication between employees and the administration.

According to instructions issued by the Director of Elementary Education (DEE), teachers, non-teaching staff, and employees working under various educational institutions can submit petitions regarding service matters and workplace concerns during these camps.

As per the schedule, district-level grievance redressal camps will be conducted on the first Saturday of every month, while block-level camps will be organised on the third Saturday of every month. District Educational Officers (DEOs) and Block Educational Officers (BEOs) have been instructed to coordinate the camps and ensure prompt review of all petitions received.

Officials have also been directed to maintain detailed records of grievances, including the number of petitions submitted, the nature of complaints, and the action taken. Necessary steps must be initiated within a stipulated timeframe to address the concerns raised by employees.

The School Education Department stated that the monthly grievance camps will enhance administrative efficiency, improve transparency, and ensure quicker resolution of issues faced by teachers and non-teaching staff in government educational institutions across Tamil Nadu.

Periodic reports on petitions received and resolved will be submitted to higher authorities for monitoring and follow-up action.
