iPhone mobiles get price cut after GST

Starting from 1st July, the new tax regime, Goods and Services Tax is implemented in India and all mobile phones have got 12 percent GST. This makes the handsets 4 to 5 percent lesser in rate as compared to the rates before GST. This however is not applicable with Apple or other products. With GST, there is a price cut of devices including Apple, iPhone, iPads, iMac, MacBook and others from Cupertino by about 7.5 percent.

After GST, the price of iPhone 7 is priced Rs 92,000 after GST, but it has further got reduced by Rs 6000 and sold for Rs 85,400 on its company website. Coming on to iPhone 7 32GB, the price is Rs 72,000 and for iPhone 128 GB, the rate is Rs 82,000. Both these are now priced Rs 67,300 and Rs 76,200 respectively. With this, iPhone 7 of 32GB storage is cut in price by Rs 4,700 and the 128 GB variant is slashed by range Rs 5,800.
