Indian Oil Temporarily Stops Commercial LPG Cylinder Supply in Chennai
Commercial LPG cylinder supply has been temporarily stopped in Chennai by Indian Oil Corporation due to disruptions in the global energy supply chain.
The situation follows rising tensions involving Iran, United States, and Israel, which have affected crude oil transportation from Gulf countries. As a result, concerns about LPG availability have increased in several cities.
Authorities have indicated that LPG bookings may now take longer, with cylinders expected to be delivered only after around 25 days in some cases. This has caused difficulties for restaurants, small businesses, and commercial establishments that depend on regular LPG supplies.
Due to the temporary disruption, Indian Oil has advised consumers and businesses to use alternative energy sources where possible until the supply situation improves.
