Changes to Southern Railway Services for Ramzan Festival and Engineering Works: April 10th and 11th
Southern Railway announced changes to train services for April 10th and 11th in light of the Ramzan festival and ongoing engineering works.
For April 10th, Thursday being a National Holiday, suburban train services in Chennai Central - Arakkonam, Chennai Central - Gummidipundi / Sullurupeta, Chennai Beach - Chengalpattu, and MRTS sections will follow the Sunday schedule.
Additionally, on April 10th from 22:50 to 04:50, five EMU train services will skip stoppages due to engineering works in the Chennai Central - Arakkonam section at Tiruvalangadu Yard. Train No. 43441 and Train No. 66009 will run on the fast line between Tiruvallur and Arakkonam, skipping the Senji Panambakkam stoppage.
On April 11th, Train No: 43402, Train No: 43802, and Train No: 43404 will operate on the fast line between Arakkonam and Tiruvallur, skipping the Senji Panambakkam stoppage.
Passenger reservation centers in Chennai Division will operate on a single shift from 08:00 to 14:00 on April 10th, resembling Sunday`s working hours.
