Panguni Uthiram Festival Begins at Sabarimala

The 10-day Panguni Uthiram festival has begun today at the Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple with the flag-hoisting ceremony.
The temple doors were opened yesterday evening in the presence of Tantri Kandararu Mahesh Mohanaru. Daily rituals will continue until March 31, followed by the Pallivetta ceremony.
The festival will conclude on April 1 with the *Aarattu* procession and lowering of the flag, after which the temple will be closed for the season.
