Tambaram–Bodinayakkanur Special Train Service Extended; Southern Railway Announces Additional Trips

In a relief for rail passengers, Southern Railway has extended the operation of the Tambaram–Bodinayakkanur Special Train following strong demand from travelers.

The Tambaram–Bodinayakkanur Special Train (06059), which departs Tambaram at 10:30 PM on Saturdays, will continue to operate on June 20 and June 27, 2026. The train reaches Bodinayakkanur the following morning.

Similarly, the return service, Bodinayakkanur–Tambaram Special Train (06060), departing at 4:45 PM on Sundays, has also been extended and will run on June 21 and June 28, 2026.

Southern Railway stated that the extension has been introduced to accommodate the growing number of passengers travelling on this route.
