As a restriction imposed to check and prevent the raging third wave of coronavirus pandemic and its variant Omicron, the devotees are banned from visiting temples for 3 days from today (Friday, 21st January) until Sunday, 23rd January)!
The regulations on the Corona pandemic are in vogue in the State of Tamil Nadu. Accordingly, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has banned the visit of the devotees to religious worship spots during the weekends, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays!
As per this, all temples and other religious worship spots have closed today (Friday, 21st January). It may be noted that on the occasion of Pongal and Thaippoosam, the temples and other religious worship spots were closed for devotees for 5 days commencing last Wednesday!
The temples reopened only on Wednesday (19th January) but are set to close again from today (Friday, 21st January) and this has made the devotees anxious!
As such, the devotees are not permitted to visit temples and other religious worship spots for 3 days from today!
Devotees will be permitted to visit the temples only from Monday (24th January)!
