Vote Counting Begins Across Tamil Nadu

The counting of votes for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections began early this morning across all 234 constituencies in the state.
As per procedure, officials first started counting the postal ballots, which include votes cast by service personnel and government staff on election duty. After this, the counting of votes recorded in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) is set to begin around 8:30 AM.
Strong security arrangements have been made at all counting centres, and candidates along with their agents are present to monitor the process.
Clear trends are expected to emerge as the counting progresses through the day.
