Summer Special Trains Announced Between Thathankudi and Tambaram - Full Schedule Here
To manage the heavy rush of passengers during the summer season, Southern Railway has announced special train services between Thathankudi and Tambaram for two weeks.
These special trains are expected to provide significant relief to passengers traveling during peak summer holidays and wedding season.
Train Schedule Details
Train No. 06018 (Thathankudi – Tambaram):
The train will depart from Thathankudi on April 20 and April 27 (Sundays) at 11:30 PM and reach Tambaram at 12:30 PM the following day (Tuesday).
Train No. 06017 (Tambaram – Thathankudi):
The return service will depart from Tambaram on April 21 and April 28 (Mondays) at 3:30 PM and arrive at Thathankudi at 4:30 AM the next day (Wednesday).
Major Stoppages
The special trains will halt at several key stations including Melur, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Kodaikanal Road, Dindigul, Tiruchirappalli, Thanjavur, Papanasam, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, Sirkazhi, Chidambaram, Tirupadiripuliyur, Panruti, Villupuram, Melmaruvathur, and Chengalpattu.
Coach Composition
Each train will consist of 17 LHB coaches, ensuring better comfort and safety for passengers.
