Special Weekend Bus Services Launched Across Tamil Nadu, Anticipating Surge in Travel Demand!
Tamil Nadu`s transport authorities are revving up for an anticipated surge in weekend travel by rolling out special bus services targeting Chennai and other parts of the state. According to R. Mohan, Managing Director of Rapid Transport Corporation, a robust plan has been put in place to accommodate the expected increase in travelers on May 4th and 5th (Saturday and Sunday). A whopping fleet of 655 buses will be in operation from Chennai to a multitude of destinations, spanning from the historic Tiruvannamalai to the bustling cities of Trichy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, Salem, and Erode.
Moreover, to cater to the demand from commuters heading towards Bengaluru, 110 special buses will ply the route from both Chennai and Coimbatore, extending their services to Nagapattinam, Velankanni, and Hosur. In a comprehensive effort, a total of 965 buses, inclusive of 200 special ones, are slated to operate from key hubs like Bengaluru, Tirupur, Erode, and Coimbatore, linking various parts of Tamil Nadu.
