In north Chennai, lives of many COVID patients get saved now by this sensational work

Kadamai Education and Social Welfare Trust belonging to Tondiarpet in north Chennai is making many heads turn with its superb work. With a huge spike in the Coronavirus positive cases in Chennai now, the demand for oxygen supply has increased sky high. Coronavirus affected patients have been finding it very difficult in this pandemic situation.
This above said trust of Tondiarpet has now come up with an idea to help those in need of oxygen supply and those who need hospital admissions. This trust has been helping many in the last 7 years is well known. Now, the trust has initiated an auto oxygen ambulance to provide help to the suffering Covid-19 patients. Truth is that these auto ambulances have saved 150 to 170 lives in the last 2 weeks of time.
Mr. N. Sathyaraj, treasurer, Kadamai Education and Social Welfare Trust, expressed his thoughts. He spoke about how currently the trust operates just 2 autos as ambulances within a radius of 15km in north Chennai. Inspite of getting 150 to 200 calls per day, the auto ambulances have been able to provide help to just around 50 patients now.
He then threw light about how more patients could not be attended because of the lack of beds at the hospitals. Every facility that is available must be taken into consideration. Truth is that sometimes it would take more than 4 to 5hours also to get a single patient admitted. It is not possible to help all the Coronavirus patients now in a day as there are just 2 auto ambulances available. Volunteers belonging to the trust help the patients by calling ambulances for the early admission of the patients for treatment.
As many as 6 persons are responsible for the running of these 2 auto ambulances and they work on shift basis to help the patients who are in need of oxygen supply. Information is that these 2 auto ambulances have 47litre capacity of oxygen cylinders that would be enough for 25 to 30 patients. Oxygen supply agency volunteers play their role by providing or refilling oxygen cylinders.
The shocking fact is the auto ambulances have been admitting many below the age of 45 now in various hospitals. The auto ambulance drivers wear full PPE kits and provide one for Covid patients too. Point is that the NGO team takes care that their families doesn�t get affected by the infection.
