Some surprising new symptoms of second COVID infection wave which we must know

When compared to the first Covid-19 infection wave last year, the second wave now has been more infectious and deadly with more persons getting affected and more deaths getting reported across the world. This has made many to worry more now.
The various symptoms witnessed in Covid-19 patients in the first wave were fever, breathing issues, cough, headache, body pain, sore throat, loss of smell etc. Truth is that the virus has changed its form and new variants are being discovered. In this scenario, many new symptoms have been identified now.
Various new symptoms of second Covid-19 infection wave are
Extreme lethargy and weakness:
In this second wave, many have been found to have extreme lethargy and body weakness. It is believed that once the body identifies the virus as invader then immune response is initiated to fight the virus. This would make the infected person feel weak and tired.
Dry mouth or not enough saliva:
Frothy and watery substance produced by the mouth is saliva. This saliva would help in digestion plus it would also keep the teeth and mouth moist. Dry mouth occurs when saliva is not produced by the salivary glands. It is now said that this dry mouth issue is one of the common symptoms of a new infection wave.
Diarrhoea:
These days many persons who have been affected by the second wave have diarrhoea issues. This loose or watery stool is also one symptom of this new wave. It is shocking to mention here that those affected with Covid-19 infection have diarrhoea for one to 14 days. Many of us do not know that diarrhoea could also be a sign of Covid-19 and hence we get tested after a delay only.
Persistent headache:
Sometimes, a normal headache doesn�t subside with the intake of painkillers etc and would be there for a long time. This is also one symptoms of the second Covid-19 infection wave.
GI tract infections:
Coronavirus infection can attack the GI tract in us. GI tract or gastrointestinal tract refers to main parts of digestion such as mouth, food pipe, stomach, small and large intestines etc. It must be noted that any issues in the GI tract could lessen the immunity in us and this would reduce the overall health. Various GI tract infections due to Covid19 infection are loss of hunger, vomiting, stomach pain, loose stools etc.
Hearing loss:
Many in this second Covid-19 infection have reported this symptom. Point is that hearing loss could range from mild to moderate to severe and it could lead to sudden hearing loss or impaired hearing etc.
Skin rashes:
Till now, nobody would have thought skin rashes to be a symptom of Covid-19 infection. It has been brought out by the recent studies that skin rashes are also one of the new symptoms of the infection. Acral rashes or rashes in hands and feet are seen in many Covid 19 patients now in this second wave. So, please don�t neglect if you get rashes on your hands or feet.
