To get COVID vaccine shots, the residents of Chennai need not travel long distances

There are residents in some areas in the southern parts of the Chennai city who have to travel long distances to get their second vaccine shot against Covid-19 infection. These residents can feel relieved and happy now for this reason.
Localities like Hasthinapuram and Chitlapakkam in southern parts of Chennai have huge populations. After getting their first Covid-19 vaccination these residents travel a long distance to get a second shot due to the shortage of vaccines is known. Now, they would be able to get their second shots at Haridaspuram itself.
There are many complaints from the residents that they haven’t received their receipts after getting their first vaccine shot. This has resulted in some issues in getting their second shot.
It was later brought to light by a resident that he took Covid-19 first vaccine shot on 8th March and was registered for a second shot on 21st April. He was shocked to know that the centre did not have a vaccine when he went there on 20th April and the authorities did not even tell him properly.
He later showed them the date he was allotted for his second vaccination but the authorities at the centre mentioned that they could not help him. He was asked by the authorities to check on the availability of the vaccines every day. For this reason, his wife went to RGGGH (that was too far from his locality) to get Covid-19 vaccination. Point is that the health centre at Haridaspuram procured enough vaccines and asked the residents to get their second vaccine shot there.
Another resident belonging to Chitlapakkam expressed his happiness regarding the availability of the Coivid-19 vaccines now in this health centre. He added that the vaccines would not be enough for all. He was unsure about the situation once when those persons above 18 started gets vaccinated.
