If you have gone to meat, fish and vegetable markets and some places in Chennai on Sunday, 6th September, then you would have found huge crowds there without any social distancing.

It is known that maintaining physical distance was a huge task even when total lockdown was present on Sundays and when the lock down was relaxed yesterday the people thronged many places without fear of Coronavirus infection threat. Many grounds in Chennai witnessed huge crowds.

It was normal to see a huge number of people in the grounds in T. Nagar and in Gopalapuram before Coronavirus started in Chennai. On Sunday, there were many people at these grounds and social distancing was not there. Despite strict warnings from the GCC and from the police department many did not wear facemasks yesterday.

It was full of activities at the popular Kasimedu fishing harbour on Sunday. It was pointed out by a Kasimedu resident that even on Sundays during total lockdown there was no social distancing. There were huge crowds in the places of worship like temples, churches etc in Chennai yesterday.

It must be noted that in St Patrick’s church near Alandur separate entry and exit were arranged for the people. Truth is strict physical distancing was maintained here.
