Number of beds for coronavirus affected double as a preparatory step!

The Tamil Nadu Government has ordered the hospitals to make double the number of beds available for treating coronavirus patients.
As on day-before-yesterday (Saturday, 21st March), 8950 persons have been put on house quarantine in order to prevent the coronavirus spread. The number of persons affected increased by 400 more and presently, 9421 persons are kept under house quarantine!
Hence, a decision was taken to double the number of beds.
As on Saturday, 21st March, there were 1120 wards set up throughout Tamil Nadu state. The state government of Tamil Nadu has ordered to double the number of beds and make ready 2069 beds yesterday (Sunday, 22nd March).
