Tamil Nadu Announces Special Buses for Summer Holidays and Weekend Rush
To manage the heavy passenger demand during the summer holidays and upcoming weekend rush, the Tamil Nadu Transport Department has announced the operation of several special buses across major cities and routes.
From Kilambakkam Bus Terminus, a total of 685 special buses will be operated on May 8, while 735 special buses will run on May 9 to various destinations across Tamil Nadu.
Meanwhile, from Koyambedu, 120 special buses will be operated on both May 8 and May 9 to reduce passenger congestion and ensure smooth travel arrangements.
In addition, Madhavaram bus terminus will operate 25 special buses on May 8 and 9.
The Transport Department has also planned 200 additional special buses from cities including Bengaluru, Tiruppur, Erode, and Coimbatore to various locations.
Authorities have advised passengers to make advance reservations and plan their journeys early to avoid last-minute inconvenience during the holiday travel season.
