On-line’ Licensing for X-ray centres for protection from radiation

Central Atomic Energy regulation Board has made some changes in issuing licenses for X-ray equipment for reasons of safety.
The Board will start issuing licence for using equipment and processes like computerized tomography, CATH Lab, CRM, Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Radiography, Mammography, dental radiography, and PMD on e-governance basis.
E-licensing of Radiation Applications (ELORA) will be the only authority to issue the above licence.
All details of the X-Ray equipment will have to be registered online. Even already registered particulars will have to be registered again online.
