The NEET 2026 exam for undergraduate medical courses will be conducted on May 3, 2026, across 552 cities in India. The exam will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, as confirmed by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Over 22.8 Lakh Candidates Registered
A total of 22.80 lakh students have registered for NEET 2026, competing for nearly 2 lakh medical seats in government and private colleges.
Male candidates: 9.47 lakh
Female candidates: 13.33 lakh

The exam will be conducted in 552 cities across India, including Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, and Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu.
In addition, NEET 2026 will also be held in 14 international cities, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Muscat, Riyadh, and Singapore.
NEET 2026 Guidelines for Candidates
The NTA has issued the following important instructions:
- Carry only a transparent water bottle
- Wear simple, light clothes
- Low-heel footwear or slippers are allowed
- Avoid heavy jewelry and accessories
- Entry allowed from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM only
- No entry after 1:30 PM
- Religious attire allowed with proper checking
