What Causes Phobias and What Are They?

Phobia is a psychological disorder that is resulted from biological and environmental aspects. It is a combinational outcome of emotional trauma, unpleasant situational circumstances, and bad experiences in life. Finally, one sort of fear in human beings is called phobia.

Psychotherapy is the treatment for the victims of phobia. There is a system of medication of mental health activities practiced to come out of fear. This treatment enables a person to become a normal condition by dealing with this anxiety, tension, and other psychosomatics. It is fear of something that one has unpleasant situational adverse experiences in life. Finding the root cause of the problems, psychotherapists start treating patients.

Not only adults but also children from 5 to 10 years of age will suffer. Phobia is an individual disorder. Phobia is such a powerful, irrational, unmanageable, and constant fear of something that gives no threat to life and no grain of truth in it also. Doctors of the psychology branch have confirmed that it is an extreme feeling of fear in people that causes nothing to people.

I would like to write down a few common phobias and their signs or symptoms

Carcinophobia - People have a severe fear of being infected with cancer

Emetophobia- observing people in public that someone might vomit.

Specific Phobia – some cannot see or face a specific animal or people near to them

Agoraphobia -– is one sort of disorder, and people who have it will not face the crowd. They cannot go to public places like stadiums, churches traveling in buses or trains.

Necrophobia – it is a very common tendency in people who cannot face the death of someone including coffins and tombstones.

Social Anxiety Disorder - They fear being ashamed in front of others. They cannot give speeches as there is a fear of being humiliated, embarrassed. Social phobia might not be common but the majority of people suffer from it.

Aerophobia- it is terrible to imagine. People don’t like to fly or be in airplanes, helicopters, and any mode of flying.

Acrophobia – it is also common for major people to go to height places.
