Parents must compulsorily know about these foods that could cause various food allergy symptoms in their kids

Many of us would have got an allergy in our lives and allergy is nothing but the reaction of our immune system to everyday substances that our body falsely starts considering harmful such as viruses or bacteria. Truth is that allergy gets triggered when we get exposed to a substance we are allergic to. So it is important to be careful and avoid these substances to be free from allergy. Various things that could lead to allergies in us are pollen, dust, food, insect bites etc.

There are many who have food allergies or allergy to food items or things present in the food. Immune system falsely considers a particular food item to be harmful when a person has got food allergy. It is easier to detect allergies in adults when compared to kids. A kid might not get affected by a minor allergy but a severe allergy could lead to dangerous symptoms. It is true that the kid might have rashes, vomiting and breathing issues etc due to severe allergy. It is worthy to note here that food allergies and food intolerances are very different. Former involves a person’s immune system while the latter refers to the reaction of the digestive system towards a particular substance.

Various signs/symptoms of allergy in the kids are

Coughing, sneezing, skin redness around nose, mouth/lip itching, swelling around the mouth/ nose and eyes, redness on face, developing bumps, hives, feeling dizzy, throat itching, stomach pain, diarrhoea, vomiting etc are some of the signs of allergy.

Foods that could lead to various allergies in kids are

Milk allergy:
A kid or even an adult who is having milk allergy would have symptoms like vomiting, stomach pain etc when they drink milk.

Nuts allergy:
Kids could get an allergy when they eat nuts such as walnuts, peanuts, almonds etc.

Fish allergy:
Shellfish or sea fishes could also create allergies when consumed. So parents must be careful when giving these fishes to their kids.

Wheat allergy:
Gluten is a protein that is present in wheat. There are many kids who are allergic to gluten and they must not eat wheat totally.
