For healthy kidneys, we must consume these foods without fail

Bean shaped organs located on both sides of the body, these kidneys are very important for us. It is known that kidneys are responsible for flushing out the harmful toxins and it maintains the water plus minerals, chemicals levels etc. Kidneys filter, reabsorb, secrete and excrete blood supplied to it with urine as the end product.

Proper and well functioning of our kidneys is very essential for healthy lives. There are certain foods that we must consume so that our kidneys are healthy. These are

Water consumption:

For a healthy life it is important to maintain the water levels in us. By consuming water we could stay hydrated. Drinking water speeds up the digestion and absorption as it aids kidneys in dissolving the nutrients and minerals. It is necessary that we drink 7 to 8 glasses of water in a day to keep our body healthy.

Intake of apples:

Reduction in the kidney disease is possible by the intake of apples. Loaded with fibres and antioxidants the apples reduce heart diseases plus cholesterol, diabetes etc.  

Consumption of mushrooms:

This is one amazing food that must be consumed for kidneys to be healthy. Presence of vitamin B and D in mushrooms plays superb role in regulating kidney. Mushrooms such as oyster, crimini, enoki etc are superb.

Strawberries intake:

Rich in fibres plus vitamins, strawberries are fabulous for our kidneys health. These strawberries have anti-inflammatory properties and do not have cholesterol, fats etc. The potassium and manganese in it helps the kidneys to function well.

Garlic intake:

Garlic is an important food ingredient is known. The antioxidants are present in garlic and garlic act as blood purifier. Our system gets cleansed as garlic helps kidneys to flush out unwanted substances. Consuming garlic in raw or in semi cooked form is superb.

Consumption of oats:

Presence of fibres in oats makes it amazing for kidneys. The beta-glucan in oats reduces kidney stones in us and it is a soluble fibre. Consuming oats for breakfast is superb for kidneys health.

Cauliflower consumption:

Annual plant cauliflower belongs to genus Brassica and is rich in vitamin C, K and omega 3 fatty acids. The sulphur and potassium in cauliflower play great role in digestion and detoxification. Intake of cauliflower helps our kidneys to function superbly as toxins are removed from our body.

Onion intake:

Onions are widely used in many dishes and they are superb foods for the kidneys due to low level of sodium in it. Lowering of BP and finally decreasing the chances of kidney diseases is possible by onion intake.

Consumption of pineapples:

Inflammation is avoided due to the intake of pineapples that are rich in fibres and manganese and low in potassium. Our kidneys perform better when we consume pineapples as they have dietary fibres.
