Wheezing - Dried Turkey berry (known as ‘sundaikkai’ in Tamil) is a good medicine for wheezing. Fry the dried ‘sundaikkai (vathal)’ and grind to a smooth powder. Add salt if required. Mix it with hot rice and take 3 mouthfuls! This will cure not only your wheezing problems but also other stomach-related problems. Take cars to use only less salt!

Glowing face - Peel of the orange skins; cut them into small pieces. Dry them in the sun and then grind into a powder. As this is rich in vitamin ‘C’, it is excellent for the skin. Mix this powder with rose-water or milk and apply as a ’face-pack’. You can even use it on the skin of other parts of the body. This would add glow to the face as well as skin.

Small boils in the eyes - some persons suffer from getting frequent boils in the eyes. The boils sometimes tend to remain for a long period giving a lot of trouble. These boils in the eye may occur due to excessive body heat or some allergy. Take Aloe Vera – known as ‘katrazhai’ in Tamil. Remove the outer skin and take the creamy thing inside. Wash it and make a small ball. Wrap in on a thin piece of cloth. Keep this on the eyes for some time. Take Yellow Myrobalan or Chebulic Myrobalan (known as ‘kadukkai’ in Tamil) Rub it on a hard surface with some water of required and take this paste and apply it on the boils taking care to protect by avoiding the paste touching the eyes. The boils would ripe & heal.

Falling hair - take a handful each of greens known as karisilanganni, ponnanganni and curry leaf. Grind them into a smooth paste. Mix this paste in half-a-litre coconut oil. Add  some dried amla powder (known as nelli-mulli podi in Tamil). Heat this mixture. When an aroma starts and it boils, remove and keep aside. Filter after 2 days. Apply this oil in the jead & scalp and take bath.
