Canada to Issue Super Visa Invitations for Parent Sponsorship Starting May 21, 2024

Exciting news for parents in Canada! Beginning May 21, 2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will start issuing Super Visa invitations for sponsoring parents. Over approximately two weeks, IRCC aims to send invitations to around 35,700 potential sponsors from the pool of "interest to sponsor" forms submitted in 2020.
Those who submitted a form in 2020 should monitor their email for updates. For those who did not submit a form, parents and grandparents can still visit Canada for an extended period by applying for a super visa, which allows stays of up to five years with the option to extend while in Canada.
