The Railways have generated Rs. 84379.49 crore of revenue earnings from commodity-wise freight traffic during 1st April, 2013 to 28th February, 2014 as compared to Rs. 76420.59 crore during the corresponding period last year.

The total approximate earnings of Indian Railways on originating basis during 1st April 2013 to 28th February 2014 were Rs. 126028.54 crore compared to Rs. 112017.08 crore during the same period last year.
