An important announcement has now come out from the office belonging to the Director General of Police or DGP!!
The news is that the DGP office has announced that for the vacant posts in the bomb detection and disposal unit in the TN Police department, Ex-servicemen can apply.
It was revealed by the press release that the Bomb Detection and Disposal unit of the TN Police Dept is recruiting qualified candidates for the vacant posts of 2 inspectors 14 assistant inspectors and 43 head constables on a contract basis of one year. If necessary, the tenure would be extended also.
It was mentioned that for these vacant posts Ex-servicemen and ex- paramilitary personnel could apply for these posts.
Eligibility for inspector posts:
Those persons who were Subedar and Subedar Major in the Army can apply.
Eligibility for assistant inspector posts:
Those persons who were Naib Subedar in the Army can apply.
Eligibility for head constable posts:
Those persons who were Havildar and Nayak in the Army can apply.
Work experience and salary details:
Work experience of 10 years would be required. It must be noted that those persons who would be appointed as inspectors would be paid a monthly salary of Rs 37500 to Rs 119500. Those persons who would be appointed as assistant inspectors would be paid a monthly salary of Rs 36900 to Rs 116600. Those persons who would be appointed as head constables would be paid a monthly salary of Rs 20600 to Rs 65500.
Age and qualifications needed etc:
As of last July, the candidates must be below 50 years of age. They must have passed a minimum of 10th class or equivalent. In addition, they must have passed a 6 week bomb detection course conducted by CME, NSG, Pune. Moreover, these persons must have served in the Army or Paramilitary for atleast 10 years. They must also have work experience in the bomb detection and disposal unit of the Indian Army, NSG Bomb Detection Unit and National Bomb Data Centre etc.
Ability to train other police officers on bomb detection and disposal in both Tamil and English is a must. It must be noted that the eligible persons must apply with their applications with CV, educucational certificates, required pages of discharge book, pension order, copies of bomb detection and disposal course certificates and experienced certificates etc.
