Hello students!! PLEASE SAY NO TO DRUGS!!
Drug abuse is a serious issue is known to us. The Tamil Nadu government has been taking several steps to eradicate drugs etc in the schools. In this scenario, to create awareness regarding drug abuse amongst students studying in the classes 9 to 12 a 2 day art workshop began in Chennai. It was inaugurated yesterday by the school education minister Mr. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi. This workshop would function for developing the artistic skills among the students.
What happened at the workshop?
Yesterday, 20th August, 50 teachers and 90 students took part in the introductory session about the side effects or harm caused by drug abuse or addiction. Life skills needed to protect the students from drug abuse was also discussed.
Implementation of art work activities:
It is worth mentioning that based on the art workshop training would be provided to the teacher co-ordinators of the anti-drug forum in all the schools and principal instructors in the district. The main objective would be to implement art workshop activities for the school students.
It is really sensational to note that the TN government has allocated Rs 150 crores for training the school students and this included life skills etc.
Creating drug-free Tamil Nadu:
The training workshop would be useful to create drug free Tamil Nadu and the actions that must be taken for that. In 2023 itself, the chief minister of TN spoke about this.
