Replacement ration cards will be house-delivered!

A new system is being introduced for family ration card-related services. As per this, the services such as applications for new family ration cards, or making corrections in the family ration cards such as addition/deletion/correction of names, cellphone numbers etc., A NEW RATION CARD CONTAINING ALL RELATED INFORMATION WILL BE DELIVERED AT INDIVIDUAL RESIDENCES!
As such, the card holders can use the [present family ration card until the new family ration card is delivered.
Citizens seeking new ration cards, and citizens who need corrections such as addition or deletion of names, change in address or cellphone numbers CAN NOW APPLY ON THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF THE FOOD DEPARTMENT OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT OF TAMIL NADU: www.tnpds.gov.in
However, the applicants do not get their requirements done on time! As such, the Department of Food has decided to send the new/amended family ration cards by POST to the individual residential addresses!
So, citizens needing new family ration cards need to pay Rs. 20/- for the ration card and Rs. 25/- as the postal charges.
AS SOON AS THE NEW FAMILY RATION CARD IS READY, IT WILL BE SENT BY POST TO THE GIVEN ADDRESS! Only the postal expenses need to be paid for this service!
