There is a necessity to change the syllabus. Most students join engineering courses mainly for excellent job opportunities! As such, the onus is to impart the most suitable education. As such, the syllabus needs a change to prepare the students ready to undertake design and research activities.
In other words, the syllabus has to be changed to provide training on relevant fields for the students as observed by the Vice-Chancellor of Anna University.
Meanwhile, Dr Velraj, the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Anna University observed in an interview that the students doing engineering courses must be prepared so that they will be able to go for entrepreneurship immediately after completion of education.
