New Guidelines given for assessment of 10th Standard annual marks!

Certain orders have been given to the higher school and higher secondary school headmasters regarding the marks to be allotted for the students of the 10th and 11th Standard.

As a preventive action against the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic, the Public Examinations for the 10th Standard and the 11th Standard were canceled.

It had been announced that marks for the 2 classes are to be assessed based on the marks obtained by the students in the quarterly and half-yearly examinations and the attendance record.

In this situation, the Government Examination Board has sent a circular to all the District Primary Education Officers. In this circular, guidelines regarding the assessment of marks to be allotted have been given to the headmasters of the higher school, higher secondary school.

�Collect the answer-sheets of the students for the quarterly and half-yearly examinations, original notifications regarding the student�s progress, and the original mark sheets were the marks of the quarterly and half-yearly examinations registered.

In case the students had not attended either quarterly or half-yearly examinations, it must be informed to us.�

Further, for the 10th Standard students, the subjects of Language, English, Mathematics, and Social Science must be corrected for 100 marks and for the subject of science, it is for 75 marks.

For the +1 class, the subjects of Chemistry and Geography is for 70 marks. For accountancy, it is 90 marks.

All the answer-sheets of the 10th Standard students must be collected and arranged subject-wise and over that, the progress report of the student should be attached.

Similar exercise must be done for the 11th standard for the subjects of Chemistry, Geography, and Accountancy.

These documents are to be sent to the school announced by the District Education Officer between 22nd and 27th June.

In case some of the documents asked as above are missing, a suitable explanation must be given in writing by the headmasters.�
