For clearing the students doubts, teachers of TN Government schools use WhatsApp groups

WhatsApp groups and online classes have been utilized now in this lock down time in TN more than before.
It is worthy to mention that the private schools have started online classes for the students and the government school teachers are helping the students belonging to the economically backward families through the WhatsApp groups. Not only the doubts of the students are being clarified by the teachers, but also model question papers are being sent by them to the students. By this, the students would be able to prepare and practise well.
As per the principal of corporation high school of Kotturpuram, K. Maheswari Kalpana, it is clear that WhatsApp groups have been created for the students of classes from 6th to 10th. She explained about how the teachers post questions on GK plus textbook materials to the students and how the students like these interactions and ask questions.
The teachers then clear the doubts of the students through WhatsApp groups. The focus at present is on classes 11 and 12 at the Puliyur based corporation higher secondary schools. This was according to the principal Mr. Dakshina Murthy.
Important information is videos of problem solving in Mathematics subject is being sent to the students. This is being done done for the students belonging to Kodungaiyur based corporation high school.
Many students who were worried about getting distracted in the lock down time are now feeling happy. It was later pointed out by a class 10 student of this Kodungaiyur School that studying at homes was difficult. She added that due to the lock down the examinations have been postponed and it was hard to remember the learnt things. Point is those students who do not have smart phones are facing issues snow as notes etc could not be issued to them.
