Leading public sector bank of India, State Bank of India or SBI is making news now!!
It is well known that SBI has been offering many services for its customers across India and one of the important services from SBI is IMPS. It must be noted that IMPS refers to instant interbank electronic transfer fund service available through mobile phones. In this IMPS service, for 7 days in a week, the customer would be able to send money easily. It is believed that for instant sending and receiving money IMPS is a very important service.
Some changes have been made by SBI in IMPS transactions now starting from 1st of February 2022 onwards. The limit of IMPS transactions has been increased from the current Rs 2lakhs to Rs 5lakhs now. Point is that charges would be collected from the customers for IMPS transactions made through SBI and IMPS transactions made through digital platforms would not have any charges.
As per the new rules that would come into effect from today, IMPS transactions from Rs 1000 to Rs 2 lakhs would not have any charges. It is now said that for those IMPS transactions from Rs 2lakhs to Rs 5lakhs an amount of Rs 20 would be collected from the customers.
