In the academic year 2020-21, CBSE had reduced the syllabus for the students belonging to the class 9 to 12is well known.
Now, CBSE for the academic year 2021-22, CBSE students belonging to class 9 to 12 would have a 30% reduced syllabus. On Saturday, term wise syllabus was announced by the CBSE for the above said classes.
To avoid the cancellation of board examinations, CBSE had divided the academic year into 2 terms for classes 10 and 12. In the November-December, first term exam consisting of multiple choice based questions would be held. All types of questions would be there in the second term that would be held in April-May 2022.
Just similar to the last academic year, in this current academic year also, the students belonging to classes 9 to 12 have been taught through online only. The schools have been closed due to Coronavirus pandemic.
Principal of Chennai public School, Asha Nathan spoke about how CBSE has retained the same syllabus with deleted portions issued last year. She mentioned that in the bifurcation CBSE equally divided 50% of portions from last year for term 1 and 2. She concluded that practicals were also divided by 2 in this year. The CBSE has announced that there would be theory based practicals if the practicals could not be conducted due to the pandemic.
In the current academic year, the students of classes 10 and 12 would have more clarity than the previous year as the blueprint has come out. This was as per the principal of Adyar based CBSE school.
