New Apps for information about Employees Provident Fund!

In earlier days, there was no facility to know about the amount deposited in the Employees Provident Fund.
Recently, a facility was introduced for the Employee Provident Fund subscribers about this PF amount through internet.
As the next stage of development, another facility – a new App has been introduced.
Through this App, PF subscribers can get details about the PF deposit on the cell-phone quite easily.
Under the Employee Future Provident Fund & Multiple Act 1952, Employees Pension Act 1995, and Employee Provident Insurance Act, provision is available for the PF subscribers get advance payment, pension, and insurance for various needs like house construction/purchase, education, marriage and medical purposes.
For this facility, 12% of the Employees Basic Pay is deducted and kept in Provident Fund Account. An equivalent amount is contributed by the employer.
EPFO – Employees Provident Fund Organisation – has now introduced an App for the PF subscribers to know the details of their PF account.
The Chief Collector of the Regional Provident Fund Office in Tambaram (Chennai) Mr. Mathialagan informed the press reporters that the central government has been taking steps to furnish the various departments details to the public in easy system with the latest electronic communication facilities. As a part of these measures, this new App to know details about Provident Fund status has been introduced.
PF subscribers can activate their Universal Account Number. They can then know about the PF details in their account. They can also download their passbook.
Just like the PF subscriber employees, the employers can also get the details about PF, pension, etc through this.
