A new research has established that mobile applications would be helpful in enhancing the reading/writing intelligence level of the primary school children.
Research scholar on childhood & education, Ms. Susan Newman of New York University, informed. Using the education application, mobile applications would be useful in encouraging the learning of primary education children and also raise their interest levels to learn more.
The main aim of the research is to prove that the mobile applications can enhance the learning capacity of the children. Ms. Susan Newman informed that this has been established.
Researchers have developed a system to check the learning & intelligence level of primary school children while using the Homer Application to teach them.
This appliation, functioning on Apple iPod application, has integrated the word phonetic sounds, story-telling/reading, etc to attract & develop interest from the students.
The research was conducted on 145 primary school students learning in 10 different school classes.
The research conducted an analysis of the learning level by daily usage of Homer Application for teaching/learning with another application while the changes in the primary students speech and awareness were measured.
Then several tests were conducted by analysing this data and the degree of intelligence level for learning was estimated.
Speech or phonetic sounds of the primary school children, their ability to detect the formation of sound to create words, and their reading ability were the important attributed taken for the research.
